Laleham Park Hub has run a FREE Mindfulness in Nature Event as part of its charitable activities to support the local community.
Held in Laleham Park on Saturday, 7 September 2024 between 10am-12pm, it saw members of the community join Clara Griffin, a dedicated yoga instructor, and Chloe Houghton from Mindful Makers.
While members of the community were treated to a full hour of free Hatha Yoga they also enjoyed a session of Forest Bathing, which connects people with nature helping them to unplug from the stresses of daily life.
Laleham Park Hub founder Michelle Eden said: “This was a great event where members of the community came together to connect with nature in a lovely outdoor space, take some time out of their busy lives and go home feeling calm and relaxed.
“Being outside and enjoying nature is really what having this Laleham Park Hub in the park will be about.”
Yoga instructor Clara Griffin said: “A yoga event in the park offers a perfect blend of wellness and nature, allowing participants to engage in a revitalising activity while enjoying the serenity of the outdoors.”
Chloe Houghton from Mindful Makers said: “Forest Bathing is an activity that really allows people to connect with nature and get away from the stresses of everyday life. It is a mindful way to relax, revitalise and is linked to various health benefits.
“Thanks again to the team at Laleham Park Hub for working in partnership with us to highlight the importance of health and wellbeing to people’s lives both children and adults.”
